Privacy policy

Treadly is software for tyre shops and workshops in India: billing, stock, job cards, inspections and accounts. This policy explains what information Treadly handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Treadly web app, the Android and iPhone apps, and customer links sent from Treadly.
Who is responsible
A shop (the "dealer") that uses Treadly decides what records it keeps about its own customers, vehicles, staff and suppliers. For those records, the dealer is responsible for the data, and Treadly processes it on the dealer's behalf to run the service. For the accounts of people who sign in to Treadly, Treadly is responsible.
What we collect
- Sign-in details: your email address or mobile number, and your name and email from Google if you choose "Continue with Google". We do not use passwords.
- Shop records the dealer enters: customers' names, phone numbers and vehicles, job cards, inspection photos, invoices, payments, stock, suppliers and staff details.
- Device information needed to run the apps: for example a notification token if you allow alerts, and your location at the moment you mark attendance, only if the shop turns that feature on.
- Basic usage and error logs kept by our hosting providers to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep each shop's data separate. Staff only ever see their own shop.
- To provide the features the dealer uses, such as GST invoices, WhatsApp links, reminders and reports.
- To read photos when someone asks Treadly to (for example a tyre sidewall, a supplier invoice or a car), using an AI service. Photos are sent only for that request.
- For support, security and to bill dealers for their subscription.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use dealers' customer data for advertising.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), with data stored in Mumbai, India.
- Cloudflare (website hosting and security).
- Anthropic (AI reading of photos and documents, only when a feature is used).
- Google (only if you choose Google sign-in or turn on phone notifications).
- Services a dealer chooses to connect, such as WhatsApp Business, an email provider, a GST e-invoice provider or accounting software. These receive only what is needed for that connection.
How long we keep it
Shop records are kept while the dealer's account is active, and for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires a business to keep its books. Customer links sent on WhatsApp expire after 90 days. When a dealer closes their account, we delete or anonymise their data after any legally required period.
Your choices and rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent. If you are a customer of a shop, please contact that shop first, because it controls those records. Dealers can export their data at any time. You can also write to us at the address below, and we will reply within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is limited by role inside each shop, and the database itself blocks anyone from reading another shop's records. Integration keys are kept on the server and never shown in the app.
Children
Treadly is a business tool and is not meant for children.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, and tell dealers in the app about important changes.
